“For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord; I sing for joy at what your hands have done.” Psalms 92:4 NIV
Happiness is something we all want. I see this on a daily basis both personally and professionally. Substances promises us a high, that next purchase does the same, and the chasing and scheming fuel us with the same fuel.
Today the Bible tells us what’s the secret or being “glad” or being happy: to count what God has done. Yes, counting, thinking, remembering, acknowledging what God has done and is doing is a sure way to achieve sustainable happiness. Why sustainable? Because what God has done cannot be changed, there’s zero risk in it; whereas what we are chasing after could or could not happen.
Let us take the best bet, let us bet on what God has done for us. It’ll change our present attitude and no one can take that away from us.
